Zac Settimo outside Slimes Surf & Skate in Newcastle

Zac Settimo outside Slimes Surf & Skate in Newcastle. He’s holding a special Retro Twin Fin model. It’s a recreation of the Twin Fin I rode in the contests on the world tour in 1981. It’s 6’2″ long, 201/2″ wide & 27/8″ thick. Mono has sprayed it in the original colors & all the logs top & bottom have been printed by Rhema Graphics to match the original board. It was glassed in 6oz by the team at PSM with set Fins & a Gloss & Polish finish. This one sold straight away, there is also another one to check out at Slimes in King Street. Scroll left for a photo of the bottom. @slimes_surf_skate @zacsettimo @kakek_slime @markmonostewart2481 @rhemagraphics #markrichardssurfboards #mrtwinfin #mrretrotwinfin #twinfinfevercatchit #twinfinfever #twinfinsforever #twinfinsrule #m1981retroworldtitletwinfinrwplica #mr1981retroworldtitletwinfinreplicamodel #mr1981retrotwinfin #mr1981retrotwinfinmodel #psmglassing

A 35 year old shot from the 2SM – Coca Cola Surfabout at North Narrabeen

A 35 year old shot from the 2SM – Coca Cola Surfabout at North Narrabeen in 1982. The board I’m riding is a 6’2″ Twin Fin which was a favourite that has a lot of good memories associated with it. The Surfabout was a mobile event held on Sydney’s beaches. One year when faced with an ongoing lack of surf in Sydney officials decided to pack up the whole event & fly everyone down to Bells to complete it. 1982, North Narrabeen, 2SM- Coca Cola Surfabout,

1982, North Narrabeen, 2SM- Coca Cola Surfabout, . I’m riding a 6’2″, 201/2″ wide, 27/8″ thick vee bottom twin fin. It was glassed in 6 oz & had a gloss & polish finish. This was standard construction for boards in those days, a pro tour contest board was built to be as strong as a surf shop stock board. This is how mine were glassed & as far as I knew lighter 4 oz glassed was not being used a lot. This 6′ 2″ Twin fin was my main contest board for the year on tour, supported by only one back up board in case of damage to the main one. As well as shaping this one I did the color spray, glassing, sanding & gloss & polish finish. The vision is from Dick Hoole & Jack McCoy’s classic movie Storm Riders. The backing track from the movie has been replaced by Pearl Jam’s “Alive” from their first album “Ten” for this Insty post. @pearljam @jackmccoyaloha #markrichardssurfboards #mrtwinfin #mrretrotwinfin #mr1980retrotwinfin #mr1980retrotwinfinmodel #northnarrabeen #2smcocacolasurfabout #stormriders #mr1981retrotwinfin # #mr1981retrotwinfinmodel
