A photo of me at Pipeline taken 43 years ago in 1977. The board is a single fin round pin that I shaped from a Clark Blank glued up with a Dick Brewer rocker. When ordering Blanks from Clark Foam they offered various rockers & I always chose the stock Brewer rockers. I think it was a Blank plug that Brewer had done for Clark Foam too. I can’t remember all the details … I just know for sure if you shaped a board from a Clark with a Brewer rocker you were nearly guaranteed the board would go great. The dimensions of this board are 7’4″ long & 3″ thick. I can’t remember the exact width, it was either 19″ or 191/4″ wide. The bottom shape was a subtle flat panel Vee . The deck was flat with a massive amount of foam carried out to the rails. It went really well, I wish I still had it, no idea where it is today. I did the Color design on the deck, Red, Blue & Yellow paint poured onto the foam then pulled off with a Glassing Squegee. The bottom was glassed in a yellow tinted resin. Photo, Pierce. I’d never seen this photo until discovering it on @silversurfer0161 Instagram recently. @dick_brewer @quiksilver @mikypicon @anothery @mikereilly1 @fuzzy66 @limowall @sammygosling @samueltgriffiths @bernie_baker1 @clarkfoam @rawsonsurfboard @luisrealcollection @tomparrishhawaiiandesigns #markrichardssurfboards #markrichardsshapes #markrichardsshaping #markrichardscolordesigns #markrichardssprays #mrsinglefin #mrretrosinglefin #mr1978retrosinglefin #mr1978retrosinglefinmodel #mr1978hawaiiancontestquiver #mr1978retrosingle
