About to paddle out for a heat during the Offshore Pipeline Masters in December 1982. I was riding a 7’4″ long Swallow Tail Single Fin with a flat panel Vee bottom. I shaped, sprayed & glassed it The Swallow was really narrow, I think it was 3″ wide. For my 3 board quiver for the Hawaiian contest season that year I glassed all the boards in 4 oz to get them as light as possible. I was on a performance quest & was prepared to sacrifice the boards longevity. I don’t know who took the photo, I saw it posted by @silversurfer0161 #markrichardssurfboards #markrichardsshaping #markrichardsshapes #markrichardscolordesigns #markrichardssprays #mrsinglefin #mrretrosinglefin #mr1982retrosinglefinmodel #mr1982retrosinglefin #mr1982retrosinglefingun #pipeline #pipelinemaster
