My vintage Aipa Stinger Single fin shaped by Ben Aipa & manufactured 44 years ago in Hawaii. Dimensions are 6’8″ long. 201/4″ wide & somewhere between 23/4″ & 3″ thick. The surfing photos on the board are from the 1977 Stubbies Pro at Burleigh Heads. The air brushed mural of King Kong on the bottom was sprayed by Al Dove. Ben made this for me in the Hawaiian winter of 1976 / 1977 & I rode it in the three Australian Pro events in 1977. The Stubbies Pro on the Goldy, the Rip Curl Bells Easter Classic & the 2SM Coca Cola Surfabout in Sydney. It is now on loan & displayed in the Australia Surfing Museum in Torquay, Victoria. I had the board stored & @boskophoto saw it & convinced me to place it somewhere so it could be seen & appreciated, that’s how it ended up in the museum. The photo of me holding it was taken opposite the Hexham Bridge north of Newcastle when I handed it over to Nick from Surf Freight who drove it down to Torquay. It was a weird feeling driving back home without it . @quiksilver @australianationalsurfingmuseum @aipasurf @dukeaipa @akila_aipa @bellst204 @aipaperu @aipa.br @markrichardssurfboardsapparel @markmonostewart2481 @christianchapmanartist @dlovepaint @_mkbn_ @dane.robb.art @tapedoff @search4shin @adrian_robert_turner @willynicholls_artist @barrell_head @pop_diddy @mayhemsurfboards_mattbiolos @surfboardempire @cidoubleyou @mikereilly1 @samueltgriffiths @limowall @anothery @mikypicon @bernie_baker1 #benaipa #benaipasurfboards
