The finished Bat Tail Bonzer Bottom from a couple of days ago

The finished Bat Tail Bonzer Bottom from a couple of days ago. It’s Tim Dickson’s custom, 5’5″, 191/4″ wide & 21/4″ thick. This is the third one of these I have shaped in the last few weeks. Shaping the Bonzer concave’s is getting easier, I struggled with the first one getting a clean finish on the foam. They are easy to rip in with a Sureform or a Makita angle grinder but cleaning them up & getting a nice finish on the foam is the challenge. The shaping blocks with Sandpaper on them are usually rectangle shaped so they don’t fit the curves, you have to get creative & use the edges or make a block with a gentle curve that you can attach some sandpaper to. The second one I shaped was a lot easier & now by the third one I’ve got it wired, this one came together really easily. Best one yet.
