Mick Adam holding Sean Griffith’s custom 1980 Retro Twin Fin, it’s 6’2″long, 201/4″ wide & 23/4″ thick. It was ordered through Slimes surf & Skate in Newcastle. Sean wanted a whole bunch of of logos on the deck & it will definitely be a one & only. I think I used up all my goodwill with Mick who glasses my boards at PSM in Byron Bay on this one. The decals usually go between the 2 layers of glass on the deck. The top layer is rolled back & the decals are laminated on, then the top layer is rolled back over the logos & the glassing process continues. Because there were so many decals I think Mick had to apply them directly to the foam & then roll out the 2 layers of glass. This is a nightmare as you can’t adjust the positioning of the glass as you roll it out because there is already sticky resin on the deck, you have to be super careful & accurate as you pull out the glass.
